Email Crist and tell him in your own words:
Appoint an independent Secretary of State and end partisanship in the office of Florida’s Chief Elections Officer. Ensure the appointee understands they must advocate for voters, not vendors or political interests.
Appoint an independent Director of the Division of Elections. Ensure the appointee understands they must advocate for voters, not vendors or political interests.
Use your influence to press for bold legislative steps that strengthen ethics and procurement standards, end Florida’s cozy relationship with vendors and partisan interests, and return elections to local public participation.Attorney General-Elect Bill McCollum
Please write the following points in your own words:
De-certify all touchscreen DRE voting systems. They have proven to be costly and insecure. When they fail voters are turned away, unlike with paper ballot systems. The recent Congressional District 13 race demonstrates that DREs are unverifiable and cannot be meaningfully recounted. Retro-fitted paper options are costly, failure prone, and offer only false security enhancement. Do not be lobbied into throwing good money after bad. The free-fall in voter confidence arising from their use seriously damages Florida’s democracy. Your bold action is needed.
Proceed to certify ADA-compliant ballot marking devices. DREs fail voters with disabilities in two ways. First, their interface options and usability are inferior to other options and therefore disenfranchise those who use them. Second, DREs are unsafe and unsuitable. This second-class option should not be pushed off on any group because they are perceived as "ADA-compliant" or "HAVA-compliant." Too long this faulty logic has been used to distract buyers and sell DREs.Here's the report/request from the Curtis camp:
Miami-Dade - 12,000 more votes than voters; stuffing the ballot box
District 15 - over 1,400 more votes than voters;
Clint's District 24 (Brevard) - 100 more phantom votes than voters in one Democratic district which caused it to go Republican.
Last weekend, we brought a team of volunteers to Walk for Democracy for a candidate in Pasco Co area. Dave Francis, Clint and Marty, along with Lauren Hallahan, and Tom Lincoln spent a Saturday knocking on doors, petting dogs and listening to constituents. With a few more hours of effort, it was proven that the official results were off by 20% giving the Democrat the precinct!
This Monday we at last received enough data to begin walking for Clint in Brevard. Loretta Fernandez, Tracy Williams, Gray Boot, Wayne Wiggins, Mark Oddi , Susan Coyle, Clint and Marty have been Walking for Democracy in the Titusville area. We have been successful in getting people to sign the affidavit telling who they voted for Governor, Congress and on Amendment 3. Almost everywhere we have gone we have been thanked for our efforts and concern about making sure their vote gets counted, offered pie and cookies and shared lots of political ideas. We even got one person to volunteer to help!
WE NEED YOUR HELP! NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE YOUR MARK ON HISTORY!
The results from your efforts could be a recall or a new election. Best of all it could help bring about a more permanent solution for getting rid of the flawed electoral system! Clint has been fighting for free and fair elections for over five years. NOW he has the opportunity to MAKE IT HAPPEN!
In one Precinct we have started, Clint is looking good! We have more votes to find to put us over the top. We will be walking this Saturday in the Titusville area from 10:00 AM till 5:00. Come join us for as long or short as you like. Contact Marty 954-732-1112 or marty@go-nci.com...
Volusia is the next county to be walked with Orange and Seminole as soon as we have data. The data that we are gathering will be presented to Congress in January to restore Democracy. So let me know you are ready to WALK FOR DEMOCRACY.
If you live in other areas of the state, we have candidates who need your help as well. I'll pass your name along. Contact Marty at 954-732-1112 marty@go-nci.com .
Or if you are out of state and would like to be a part, please contribute at www.clintcurtis.com.
With YOU on the team, we can do it!

Talking points:
From the Brennan Center's Myrna Perez, Counsel for the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law:
Missouri already has a commonsense voter identification law that ensures that eligible voters are who they say they are on Election Day. Additionally, voter impersonation fraud is not a problem in Missouri. In fact, there are NO reported cases of it happening.
Photo IDs would not stop voter registration or absentee ballot fraud (two areas where there have been a few reported incidents). Even if photo IDs are provided free of cost, obtaining the underlying documents needed to prove your identity costs money and can be difficult or impossible to obtain. No Missourian should be deprived of the right to vote because a government bureaucracy will not provide them a copy of their birth certificate.
Adopting an overly-restrictive, burdensome photo ID law doesn't make sense and is not justified because it risks disenfranchising up to 240,000 registered Missouri voters who don't now have a state-issued photo ID.
